Vindaloo Recipe
Ingredients: Serves 4
- 1kg Beef or any red meat.
- 3 Large onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 Pack BombaySpices VINDALOO SPICE MIX
- 3/4 cup White vinegar (Use Balsamic / Malt vinegar if you like sweet and sour taste)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp paprika or red chilli powder (Optional only use if you like very hot Vindaloo)
Method:
Marinate the meat with vinegar, Vindaloo spice mix, salt, and turmeric for at least half an hour (You can marinate it overnight in a refrigerator). In a electric cooker/slow cooker/crockpot or pot transfer the marinate along with onion oil and combine well. Cook on low heat until the meat is tender. I used my electric cooker and slow cooked beef vindaloo for 3 hours. Serve hot with steamed rice.
